[II. Tatpur. 1. m. f. n. ( - सः (-saḥ)- सा - सम् (-saḥ-sā-sam) ) The same as अभ्याश (abhyāśa) which is the more correct form. 2. m. ( - सः (-saḥ) ) 1 Result, consequence; e. g. Chhānd. Up.: स य एतमेवं विद्वानादित्यं ब्रह्मेत्युपास्तेऽभ्यासो ह यदेनं साध - (sa ya etamevaṃ vidvānādityaṃ brahmetyupāste'bhyāso ha yadenaṃ sādha-) वो घोषा आ च गच्छेयुरुप च निम्रेडेरन्निम्रेडेरन् (vo ghoṣā ā ca gaccheyurupa ca nimreḍerannimreḍeran) (ed. See the remark under the latter word, also as regards the masc. gender of the second meaning.] E. अस् (as) with अभि, (abhi,) kṛt aff. घञ् (ghañ). [ ID=6766 ]
