Indradyumna — the son of Tejasa (Taijasa-Vā. P.). A Drāviḍa and a Pāṇḍyan king. Devoted to Hari. While engaged in tapas Agastya came to his hermitage. Finding him not extending a welcome, the angry sage cursed him to become an elephant. Indradyumna considered that to be the will of the Lord. He was born as the Lord of the ele- phants, and had reminiscences of his past life;1 an account of, in the Kūrma Pūrāṇa.2
