Why does the Search button say “Go Unlimited”?
You have used today's three free searches. They reset at midnight, local time. Word of the Day, favorites, recents, notes, declension tables, Search by Context, Spotlight and the widget keep working. Unlimited removes the limit for $1.99 a month, $9.99 a year with a 7-day free trial, or $19.99 once. See pricing.
I bought Unlimited but the app still shows the limit. How do I restore it?
Open the Unlimited screen from the infinity button on the search screen and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure the device is signed in to the same Apple Account that made the purchase. If Unlimited was bought by someone else in your family, check that Purchase Sharing is turned on for your family, then tap Restore Purchases while signed in to your own Apple Account.
My favorites and notes are not syncing between devices.
Sync runs through iCloud. On every device, check Settings › your name › iCloud › Show All and make sure Sanskrit Lexicon is on, and that both devices use the same Apple Account. Sync usually completes within a minute of opening the app. The daily free-search count is per device by design and never syncs.
Siri says it cannot find the word.
Sanskrit is hard to dictate. Try the IAST or common spelling clearly, or say Open followed by a word you have already looked up. Voice lookups work best on Apple Intelligence devices; on other devices, use the Shortcuts actions or Spotlight. Siri lookups count as searches on the free tier.
The Word of the Day widget is blank or out of date.
The widget fetches the word itself, but it needs a connection the first time. If it stays blank, check the device is online and open the app once; then remove and re-add the widget if it still shows an older word. It refreshes on its own at local midnight.
Searching does nothing or shows a connection error.
New searches need an internet connection because the dictionary lives on a server. Words you have opened before still open offline. A search attempted while offline is not charged to your daily free searches. If you are online and searches time out after about 20 seconds, please email the developer with the word you searched.
How do I find text on a long word page on the Mac?
Press ⌘F on the word's page. Matches are highlighted in yellow, a counter shows how many there are, collapsed groups open automatically, and Done or Esc closes the overlay.
How do I cancel the Unlimited subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple. On iPhone or iPad go to Settings › your name › Subscriptions › Sanskrit Lexicon; on the Mac open the App Store, click your name, then Account Settings › Manage Subscriptions. Cancelling keeps Unlimited until the end of the paid period. Lifetime is a one-time purchase and has nothing to cancel.
Typing Devanagari or IAST
Sanskrit Lexicon accepts any spelling, but if you want to type Devanagari or IAST directly, SanskritTypist is a keyboard for iPhone and iPad by the same developer. Type raama and get राम or rāma in the search field.
